What is ZECUREiT?

What type of encryption is ZECUREiT?
It uses AES256 and Elliptic Curve algorithms. This combination makes it completely unique in how it authenticates people and is extremely strong compared to traditional AES256 variants.
What does it need to work?
Your computer and that’s it! Once you download ZECUREiT on your device, you can immediately begin to encrypt your files. At present, you are only able to decrypt a file from the same device you are logged in on.
What countries do you operate in?
All countries. You can access your files from anywhere.
What operating systems are you compatible with?
We are compatible with Windows and MacOS.
Can I use ZECUREiT on my phone?
We are close to launching an Android version with plans for an iOS version soon.
What types of files can I encrypt with ZECUREiT?
Any file type. To us, data is data.
How do I encrypt a file?
It's as simple as selecting a file you would like to encrypt and clicking encrypt! You can also preset certain file folders to auto-encrypt via the settings. Please see our loom video here and instruction manual to learn more.
What does someone need to do to ensure a file is encrypted? How will I know my file is encrypted?
When a file is encrypted, it gets associated with the .zrx extension. Any file with that extension has been encrypted with ZECUREiT.
Once a file shows up in the ZECUREiT app, does that mean it is encrypted?
Not necessarily. The ZECUREiT app is a complete file manager so it will show all files, regardless of whether or not they are encrypted.
How do I share encrypted files?
We are able to share encrypted files using the Dropbox sharing mechanism. We are also compatible with Google Drive.
What if I need to open an encrypted file on another computer without ZECUREiT?
At present this is not possible to do. We are working on a web interface to allow you to upload the file for decryption.
If I encrypt a file, does it create a duplicate file on my drive so that I now have the plaintext file as well as the encrypted file?
Or does it replace the original file? How will this impact my device’s storage? As soon as a file is encrypted using ZECUREiT, the original file is deleted.
